**Q: Do you think these will blow over in the wind? Hosting an outdoor party in early fall.**
A: We got these for an outdoor barbecue and didn't have any problem. I think the wind goes through them because they are mesh.

**Q: Is it large enough to keep a dozen banana safe from flies?**
A: Yes

**Q: Is the mesh small enough to keep out tiny fruit flies?**
A: yes it is woven tight enough to keep out fruit flies. I do use it at home sometimes for that reason.

**Q: Can ants get in through the bottom?**
A: The answer is 'most likely' unless you somehow seal the bottom edge of the screen so that crawling insects are kept out.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Flatter edges would be better but a great fly deterrent

There are many times when it's useful to leave food on the side in the kitchen, or in the summer getting a meal ready in the garden but you don't want to have flies all over it, these are almost ideal for keeping them insect free. They pop open with a pull of the string and pop close by pushing the top - great. The net is small enough to keep even little fruit flies out......well except for the gaps at the bottom, between each arm the edges arch and leave a gap, whilst most flies coming down from above won't get in there is a risk still and frustratingly a simple piece of net or something hung from these edges would create a complete seal. Nevertheless they are useful, much better than no cover and we do use them all the time.
