Good bite and resistance to fade while also remaining very quiet. I'm sure many have tried semi metallic pads thinking they'd be the best of both worlds between organic and sintered pads, yet they're always disappointing... To me, ceramic pads provide a real inbetweener in terms of performance without any draw backs for all around use. They can be used for anything with no real weaknesses.However, I did remove 1 star because of a really unusual problem. I noticed one of the other reviews state that the extra strong spring provided pushed the pistons back and this is exactly what happens. I even had brake fluid being pushed out of the master cylinder overflow valve and this gave a very spongy feel with a very long stroke before reaching the bite point. I changed the spring for a standard Shimano spring and the problems disappeared... This really needs to be looked at as the extra strong spring purging brake fluid could become safety issue. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant replacement for Shimano brakes *by M***S on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 April 2023* I was struggling to get hold of Shimano Ultegra pads and thought I'd give these ceramic ones a try. I bought two sets but, being slightly cautious, only fitted a set on the front. These are fantastic. I would say at least as good as original Shimano sintered pads that I had before. Also, these are much quieter in the wet - no more awful brake squeal. I guess the lack of cooling fins may be an issue if you're descending an Alpine pass in the height of summer - hopefully I'll find out at some point.
