For my second baby, I bought this muslin nursing cover and a soft, scarf-like cover without the opening on top. This one is my favorite so far, even better than the Hooter-Hider. For one thing, the fabric is softer and much more breathable than cotton; for another, it's large enough to cover most of my body; finally, the opening on top stays in shape after washing. And the muslin material is well-worth the extra money from the regular material! My 3rd baby was born during the summer, so the cooler, more breathable muslin was a must. And even in the winter, I would get all hot and sweaty when I used the regular Baby Au Lait with my first 2 babies, but not with the muslin cover. I'm so glad I got this one for baby #3!I worried about the muslin being see-through, and it is a little, but not enough to matter. Just wearing a cover makes it obvious that I'm nursing anyway. If someone wants to look hard enough to see the silhouette of my baby, or the faint color of skin, that's their problem. They can't see my actual breast or nipple, which is what I care about.
