This bracelet is the perfect compromise. It does leave some faint marks behind but not annoying enough to not use. I found a high quality eraser helps to clear it. I've used g2 gel pens, cheap ball points, and some roller balls with no issues. I bought 2 and the thing I wish the most is for a blank side.
