We didn’t want to drill it into our floor so it’s just placed on the ground without any glue or tape, and it does just fine. I’d suggest tape to keep it in the same position, otherwise you’ll just adjust it slightly once in a while. We have a small garage so it was important to have these stoppers as a physical feedback when parking. It’s seriously the best on the market. I got cheaper ones before and these are leagues ahead in terms of quality and reliability (seriously, these will pay for itself by preventing damage to your walls and water heater)
