Right now is a great time to 'jump back in the pool' of textile design. This book will give you a good push forward. Included are a great resources section, information about re-licensing and how to develop your brand. The basics of how to design repeats and correct repeats in Illustrator and Photoshop. Tutorials on block printing and screen printing fabrics and a good list with clear photos of commonly printed fabrics (samples of plain white and off white fabrics) printed large enough that you can easily see the weave in each. In addition are also sections in this book on various textile printing methods.
