I checked all connections and even tried to use the RCA video jack versus the S-video jack, but had the same video flutter problems after a couple of minutes. I even powered down (removed power from) the unit and all attached components for about 5 minutes to let the unit cool down, but nothing changed. The audio was unaffected and worked fine. Good unit, but I think I just received a bad one...it happens from time to time. It splits the AV signal from your cable box (mine is DirecTV)and allows you to view the same picture on two TVs. This option is useful if you have a large living room and want to have several people over but not all crowded over the same TV. The Splitter took 5 minutes, if that, to hook up and run the wires and instantly I received the signal on my secondary TV. I would highly recommend this product!!! It shipped the next day and I got it that same week too! It's simple to hook up and you don't need to look any further for a decently priced Splitter Amp that works like a charm.
