I used to have an exfoliating spounge which was gentler then a pumice stone but still took off calluses easily.** A: Yes. There is a soft , but solid, side to the sponge and the scrubbie side is gentle, not rough like a pumice. I use these most every day in the shower , but when my calluses get worse, I use the pumice block. It won't take off seriously nasty callouses, but is great to maintain your feet once the callouses are removed. **Q: Is this for dry/wet use?** A: wet use. It has a soft refreshing scent which is not overpowering. It creates a nice lather and is a cleans your feet as well. I have noticed it does not last for 20 showers, but it does last for probably most of those, but it could also be the way I store it on the shower caddy.Overall, I recommend these as a quick way to just take a little extra care of yourself while taking care of your feet.
