Didn't even need to remove battery box for installation into a stock mazdaspeed3 1st gen. Can't really say for sure if it's doing it's job. Have still under 1k miles on it, and still running stock turbo and downpipe with cat. Set fuel pressure in my tune to be max 1850, and it seems to hold at least that under wot. I've seen it go up to 1980 or so. Again, since I am fully stock, not sure how viable this information is since the oem fuel pump should still be able to hold around 1800. I think it's kind of expensive for just being internals and not just a swappable part. Last time I bought a fuel pump was for 90s- early 2000s hondas, and you could get a decent fully assembled hpfp for $150 or less. Was definitely sticker shocked to discover the price to switch out this one in the Mazda, AND still having to basically do custom installation on it. I think I remember the price for getting a fully assembled hpfp for this being over $800 with $150 core, so in that since, the price is more worth it Review: solid product - Installed this on my Mazdaspeed 6 and it works perfectly. fuel pressure is now right where it needs to be at WOT. Installation is much easier if you take out your intake system and battery. Make sure you have a reverse E8 torx socket and a deep 18mm socket available.
