I bought this for a different sort of purpose.  I have a small pond and needed a grate to cover the eight gallon size hole that has the pump down in it to allow rocks to be set on top of the grate.  It has work flawlessly and I have not had to clean the pump in a very long time.  The grate does a good job of keeping leaves and derbies from getting to the pump.

the product was string and free from defect. However, the image on the product page did not depict that one side of the grate was rounded outwardly. That "hump" made the product unusable for me.
