I also used it in Ireland and found it to be accurate and easy to use. I had no issues setting up the device and updating it before I travelled. I recommend purchasing a JRing 240v mains to 12v DC cigarette lighter voltage converter power adapter so you can download and update the sat nav inside the home rather in your car (£16). The sat nav worked fine and did not freeze at anytime. I also made use of the hands free and text message facility. I am very happy with the device and would recommend it to anyone. I would have preferred it if the Permium x came in the limited edition box for the cost of the device. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not much of an improvement over older models (e.g. Go 6000 or 6100) *by M***T on 23 September 2019* Its a good Satnav especially if you are dependent on traffic updates (like I do). Updates over WiFi are nice but not essential as the Satnav needs to be plugged into power to update. If it needs a cable plugged in, it might as well be plugged in a computer's USB port and update over the app.The good:Nice big screenTraffic updatesClear on screen instructionsWiFi updates for the uber lazy user who finds powering a PC to update too time consumingIFTTT for the uber geek - moi included in this category. You can easily live without itThe bad:Virtually no upgrade in terms of speed in comparison with my old trusty Tom Tom Go 6000 (over 6 years old). C'mon all mobile processors tripled in clock speeds and core counts since then.Slow to boot, slow to find the routeLags when given commands (e.g. <1 second lag><1 second lag>)... you get the picture. Really needs a processor/OS updateOccasional freezes - resolved by restarting - not so great in trafficLoses mobile signal (used for traffic updates) even in some areas in London - which makes it a "dumb" satnav (as opposed to "smart").The ugly:Still thicker than rivals. If most smartphones can pack 10x the processing power and memory into a packages 1/3 the thickenss one wonders why the "Premium X" still looks like it has been plucked from a musem of "electronics in the early 2000s".Overall I'd still buy it because there's nothing else on the market that does the traffic thingie in a way that is useful, clear and useable. I used Garmins until TomTom came up with the traffic updates and never went back.
