My 5'7", 230# frame fit in standard... sort of. It was uncomfortably tight around my midsection and the gap at the bottom front was too wide, and if it were a last-minute thing, I would have made it work, then gotten out of it ASAP after the ceremony. I had time on my side though, and returned it for this 54FF. It was a much better fit for my body shape, and I made up for the difference in height by wearing 3" platform boots. It was perfect! So, if you're a little narrower around the tummy than I am, a standard may fit you. Otherwise, go for the roomier, totally-danceable FF option!
