When she purchased these Glad kitchen bags, I naturally thought that they were only for the kitchen trash can. Boy!...was I ever wrong! Yes, she does indeed use them as such, yet she has used them for so many other things as well. She is cleaning out the garage now. One could say that it is a spring cleaning taking place...in the fall. Do not ask me as to why!...I am only the resident cat! I do not involve myself in such unnecessary matters. Although, I must say that the garage is looking quite wonderful. Now, back to the subject of the bags. She has used these bags as a cover for her brooms, in order to keep them clean and dust free. She has used them as storage bags for small carpets. She has also placed certain items in them,...enclosed some cedar balls, lavender bags, or moth balls within them, and then having closed the bag tightly, she has placed the bags in her closets and drawers in the garage: Storing them away for the season. Although, she has made certain that the bags are placed high above or are properly locked away so that my other pussycat cousins do not come near them. You know,...I have a pussycat cousin who ate the handle of a small plastic bag once. It was not a glad bag, it was a grocery bag. Well, of course, she got quite sick, and Mumzy had to take her to the Vet./Doctor. She is well now, but do you think that that pussycat learned her lesson?! I do not think so! This is why my Mumzy is so very careful with the plastic bags. Therefore, if you have pussycats or any other furry...or not so furry creatures,...you must be quite vigilent, and keep it away from them. The Vet./Doctor advised my Mumzy that some pets just do that: Not so intelligent as the act may be...Go figure! Plastic bags are also quite dangerous for children as well, therefore if one has either...children or pets, one must be quite careful. They fit the standard kitchen trash can size and wrap around the rim nice and tight. We use a plastic can with a lid that snaps on and opens with a top lever, to keep the dogs out and make it easy on the wheelchair user whose feet don't touch the floor. The dogs learned how to get in, but they can't get the bag out, or even tear it. The top seams that hold the handles are good and strong, and hold up even when the ancient senile one pulls the bag out of the trash can, drags it over twenty feet of linoleum and plywood, and throws it down the outside steps to make a point.
