I have used the tape on my plastic greenhouse covers and on plasting sheeting which I use to cover my screened in porch during the winter months. It has kept the rain and weather out. **Q: Does it leave a sticky residue after it's removed?** A: I have used (and removed) this tape many times for years and only remember one time there was a minor residue left behind. No comparison to duct tape or clear packing tape. Highly recommend. **Q: What is the difference between this and clear packing tape?** A: Easily removed when you don’t need to block air leaks. Saves energy not fir packaging but fir door and window air leaks. **Q: Why is a glove included, is it toxic** A: A glove was not included with mine, and I've re- ordered this tape a few times. Yes- the adhesive is hardcore stuff, so make sure you open the shrinkwrap in a well-ventilated room. Yes- the adhesive will lift paint off of wood and leaves residue behind. But once contact is made, this tape will not release and I believe in the claim that it will adhere in temperatures as low as minus ten degrees farenheit. This is is a must have for sealing up window air conditioners to keep bugs, smog and hot air from coming in the gaps. Great Stuff is all that- but this is Cold Tape. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better price than the local hardware tores. *by on Reviewed in the United States May 15, 2026* Weatherseal tape comes in handy to seal the spaces around a window air conditioner, and it is also good for reinforcing the shrink window plastic in winter. It’s very thick, strong, and hard to tear. If the water doesn’t get to the glue part it would be very waterproof. It just needs more adhesive to be five stars. It kind of has enough adhesive that you would find on the average masking tape that is not designed for mail packaging.
