It is easy to assemble. Cloth is sturdy. The bottom is only a this piece of fabric so I put a pad in to make it more comfortable for her. The tricky part is tying the canvas properly around the wooden poles and getting each leg even to form the proper shape. My kitten plays with this consistently and I find that I need to retie and reshape often as with aggressive play the canvas will slip (no matter how tightly it is tied). Overall, she loves it and I am happy with purchase.
