Formulated just for puppies with healthy ingredients that support gentle digestion, this limited-ingredient dog food contains DHA and ARA (important fatty acids found in mother's milk) to support brain and eye health. This dry dog food is also made with real, high-quality turkey as the first ingredient to help build and maintain strong muscles. What's more, this Blue Buffalo puppy food features unique, small-bite kibble that is shaped to help promote tartar removal with chewing. From the Manufacturer And because it’s BLUE, it’s made with only the finest natural ingredients: Deboned Turkey, a high quality protein not typically used in dog food. Made with potatoes, an easily-digestible carbohydrate source. NO chicken (or poultry) by-product meals and NO corn, wheat, soy, dairy or eggs Review: Good for our pup with a chicken allergy - After a few trips to the vet due to, um, "looseness", we finally discovered through trial-and-error our pup had an allergy to chicken, chicken meal, and chicken by-products. Of course, nearly all dog food and treats have chicken in it in some fashion. We switched to this kibble, and not only does he enjoy it, his poop firmed up, his coat remained silky and shiny, his weight is still in the proper range, his muscles are toned, and he is still growing like a weed (actually he is slightly ahead of his growth curve). It's a little expensive for the bag size, but our choices are limited. We are fans of Blue and this product, and we recommend anyone who has a dog that has chicken-intolerance or allergies like ours give this food a try. Review: Great formula for your little treasures! - Nothing but the best for my two new additions. I just wish the price was a little cheaper. However, in addition to homemade dog food, ( provided you are fulfilling all of their nutrient needs) it's a great thing to have in the dish at all times. I recommend looking up "the full Bowl theory". Puppies are growing at a super fast rate, it's really important that they are able to eat when they are hungry. Also it's good that they learn early on to stop when they are full. Dogs have a very weak satiation when you took about response and sometimes don't know when to stop eating. Especially if they only get a certain amount once a day. It's actually best to feed your grown dog twice a day, half in the morning and half in the evening if you are not using the full Bowl Theory method. It's better for the digestive system and they aren't left with horrible hunger pains at the end of a 24-hour period. ## Features - REAL TURKEY FIRST: This Blue Buffalo dry dog food is made with real, high-quality turkey as the #1 ingredient - FORMULATED FOR PUPPIES: This dry puppy food is formulated with healthy ingredients that support gentle digestion, plus DHA to support brain and eye development - IMMUNE SYSTEM SUPPORT: This puppy food contains exclusive, antioxidant-rich LifeSource Bits - HEALTHY, WHOLESOME INGREDIENTS: This Blue Buffalo dog food is made with no chicken (or poultry) by-product meals, and no corn, wheat, or soy - Contains: One (1) 24-lb bag of BLUE Basics Skin & Stomach Care Puppy Dry Dog Food, Turkey & Potato Recipe - ENHANCED IMAGERY: We have enhanced our digital product packaging to highlight our products’ ingredients and essential benefits; while the physical packaging will differ slightly, all information is accurate ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0073GNZ0Q | | Additional Features | Beef Free, Chicken Free, Limited Ingredient, Single Animal Protein Source | | Age Range (Description) | Puppy | | Age Range Description | Puppy | | Allergen Information | Corn-Free, Dairy Free, Soy Free, Wheat Free | | Animal Food Diet Type | Limited Ingredient | | Best Sellers Rank | #21,934 in Pet Supplies ( See Top 100 in Pet Supplies ) #789 in Dry Dog Food | | Brand | Blue Buffalo | | Brand Name | Blue Buffalo | | Breed Recommendation | All Breed Sizes | | Container Type | Bag | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 1,000 Reviews | | Dog Breed Size | Medium | | Flavor | Turkey & Potato | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00859610005772 | | Included Components | Contains one (1) 24lb bag of BLUE Basics Skin & Stomach Care, Natural Puppy Dry Dog Food, Turkey & Potato | | Item Form | Dry | | Item Type Name | puppy-dog-food | | Item Weight | 24.2 pounds | | Manufacturer | Blue Buffalo Company, Ltd | | Manufacturer Part Number | 800350 | | Model Number | 800350 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Occasion | Birthday | | Pet Type | Dog | | Product Benefits | Supports gentle digestion, brain & eye development, and immune system health | | Recommended Uses For Product | Puppy care | | Special Ingredients | limited ingredients | | Specific Uses For Product | Coat | | Target Species | Dog | | UPC | 859610005772 | | Unit Count | 384 Ounce | ## Product Details - **Age Range (Description):** Puppy - **Brand:** Blue Buffalo - **Flavor:** Turkey & Potato - **Item Form:** Dry - **Specific Uses For Product:** Coat ## Images ![Blue Buffalo Basics Turkey Puppy Skin & Stomach Care Dry Dog Food, 24 lb - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71--5jjKiiL.jpg) ![Blue Buffalo Basics Turkey Puppy Skin & Stomach Care Dry Dog Food, 24 lb - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/711RpScl5mL.jpg) ![Blue Buffalo Basics Turkey Puppy Skin & Stomach Care Dry Dog Food, 24 lb - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/818nEJuDXvL.jpg) ![Blue Buffalo Basics Turkey Puppy Skin & Stomach Care Dry Dog Food, 24 lb - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71DXSiRXKxL.jpg) ![Blue Buffalo Basics Turkey Puppy Skin & Stomach Care Dry Dog Food, 24 lb - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/818qnpE3AQL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size, Flavor** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: What color is this food? If we feed him too much, he vomits. Not enough and he loses weight. There is a fine line to maintaining his weight. This food definitely helped. Its easy on his stomach, and because its puppy food, its got 20% more calories per cup than adult dog food. He doesn't love it the way he loved another food, but he eats it. And it stays down. Good stuff. Don ## Frequently Bought Together - Blue Buffalo Basics Dry Dog Food for Puppies, Skin & Stomach Care, Limited Ingredient Diet for Dogs, Turkey Recipe, 24-lb.
