Of course it took a little bit to adjust from our old model to this one, but we like it a lot. The major difference between this leash and our older one is that the retractable β€œleash” is a corded design and not a webbing or leash. This doesn’t really impact how we use the leash, but thought I’d make note for others. The leash has held up well on various adventures with our 60lb furry beast and we would definitely buy this leash again.Updated to add: the leash lasted us almost three years. With Purple you can control the dog exceptionally well because a gentle press of the Pause button is all you need to do unless you want the dog on a short leash. If so, pay out the reqjuired length and latch it. All the other leashes have a completely different mechanism the only gives full Release. of full Latch. Believe me, it is Very difficult to use. Look at the blowup pictures of the latching mechanism on the Purple vs. all the rest.
