This is a game that needs to be tried. *by Y***N on November 18, 2019* Death Stranding stands up there with some of the best games of this generation. The gameplay is thought out to the minute detail. The execution of story within an open-world game is as well-done as any open world game you'll play. The voice / acting work reflects what is obviously a "labor of love". And, the technical execution is FLAWLESS. Visually and aurally brilliant, this game came on day one without any of the bugs that so often come on day one releases. Yes, the pacing starts slowly. I liked that - others may not - but the game allows the gamer a great deal of freedom in how much they want to "explore" the open world and take on side quests vs. go through the main story - without sacrificing the gaming "balance", and making the game too easy / hard.I'm sure that there's going to be some out there that won't like the game (I'm not going to argue with those that find the writing heavy-handed), but you cannot deny the strengths of the technical execution on the game. This is a game that needs to be tried - it is going to be talked about for years, I'm sure. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic game, did not receive all pre-order content *by S***Y on November 13, 2019* The game itself is wonderful so far; if you liked MGSV, you'll probably enjoy Death Stranding. However, Amazon's product images are deceiving. The images show all of the pre-order content, including the gold exoskeleton, hat, PS4 themes, etc., but I only received the gold glasses and soundtrack code that came in the box. I noticed upon double-checking that the product description only lists the items that come in the box, so the product image is not accurate. I talked with Amazon support to see if the items were included via a digital code that I may have missed, but they were unable to help,, stating that my only option was to get a refund. I'm a bit peeved since I paid extra for those items and now can't get them since the pre-order period is over.I'll edit this review if this issue is somehow resolved, but the game itself is well worth the purchase. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Is Death Stranding for you? *by R***1 on November 22, 2019* It definitely is for me.Received the game this afternoon (GMT+8), packaged nicely though it was only inserted in a bubble wrap envelope. I imagined it was Sam who delivered the cargo as it is in mint condition. :)Update (Nov. 24, 2019): Just opened the game and all inserts are inside with the disc. I don't own a lot of steel books but I can't pass this one up. Art on the case looks good. I like the dark theme and simplicity of it.Even though I live outside the North American continent, I collect mostly US released titles from PS3, PSV, and PS4 and 3DS. This is sue to my childhood where I saw ESRB logo on some of the games I playe.dAbout the game, it Is something different. Honestly, it is not entirely an action game where the player shoot enemies from the start. It starts tedious and slow, most of it are done on foot. But when the player reaches Episode 3, it becomes more enjoyable, open and you'll witness other players' contributions in the game. You can explore the world much quicker and become courageous to face the challenges than before.The story can pass as a film, the cinematics and actor performances are high quality. The game is weird just like the Metal Gear games, but it keeps me interested as I like to see how it ends.As of the time of writing, I'm only at mid-Episode 3 with 28hrs+ progress so I can't tell more of the story aside from the gameplay and mechanics.Hope other people will try it and make their own opinion about the game.
