The manual stated in big letters: DO NOT RETURN, CALL {phone number}. So, I thought I would give it a try. I talked to some knuckle-head who wound up just giving me an email address, and he told me to email... so why the heck not just say: "Do Not Return, email {this email address}? A complete waste of time. So I email, and my case gets handle by a complete jerk, who won't listen to a word I'm saying, who contradicts what is stated in the manual and has no clue about the product line he is supposed to be supporting. All customer service did was eat up a week of my time. I wound up having to return this and re-buy. I wouldn't have even done that if I weren't already in deep with this product line. That said, the product is good. It is nice and heavy, my umbrella doesn't budge in a reasonable breeze. I don't like the plastic thumbscrew -- everything else is such high quality -- why skimp there? It just opens the door for problems if it ever breaks... Still, I really like the product. Too bad they have a moron working customer service.
