Review: Stopped the leak!!! - First of all if you have never removed the oil filter adapter from a Jeep 4.0 in an XJ, let me say it’s an adventure. I had to McGuyver a setup with a T60 torx bit in a 10mm box end wrench with a 3ft cheater bar to get the screw to budge. Once removed the O rings swap out very easy. The old largest O ring was baked into a flat piece of plastic. Needless to say the new O rings fit perfect, sealed great, and stopped the leak. Review: Good kit. Everything fit. 1996 Jeep Cherokee XJ. - All 3 o-rings fit my 1996 Jeep Cherokee XJ. The largest o-ring definitely needed to be replaced because the old one was hard, flat, and not sealing right. I had to move the A/C lines and some wiring out of the way so I could use a torch on the bolt but once I did that, removal of the oil filter adapter was a piece of cake. Cheapest fix ever to get rid of major oil leak.
