A: It is 7 inches off the floor. Under the bed storage containers do fit. If you need more height you could put it on risers.

**Q: Can you put just the mattress on this frame without box spring?**
A: No, not unless you put a piece of plywood on it first. Also, without a box spring your mattress would be really close to the floor.

**Q: will it convert for a twin or full?**
A: Definitely full, not sure about twin.

**Q: What is weight capacity that the frame can handle.**
A: I am not exactly sure but I have a temperpedic  Queen mattress and box. These tend to be heavier and it supports just fine.
