However, after wearing it for a week hiking in the Pacific Northwest I came to like it. Even though it is thin it is much more rubbery than a lot of rain gear I've had. It tends to stretch instead of rip. It was comfortable and it's light weight made it nice for hiking. It had plenty of room to wear layers underneath when it was cold.I do wish it had arm pit vents or a back flap with vents in. It is easy to get too warm in this jacket. So it'll get hot in a hurry if you wear it on a warm day. I mostly wore it during a trip to a rainy area during February, and the temperature stayed comfortable because it was a bit cold outside.Not a really thick jacket, which is nice. I was able to roll it up into a really right roll, so it took up a tiny amount of space when stuffed/packed in a bag. You don't have to debate too much about whether you should bother packing it.
