## Features

- HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE FEMMYCYCLE: First, you will need to locate your cervix. The best time to do this is during your period, because the cervix will be lowest in the body at this time. HOW TO LOCATE YOUR CERVIX: Stand with one foot elevated on the toilet seat or edge of the bathtub and insert your index finger into your vagina: If your finger is inserted as far as it will go and you do not feel your cervix, the best choice for you is the REGULAR FemmyCycle.
- If your finger is inserted as far as will go, but you can just touch your cervix, the best choice for you is also the REGULAR FemmyCycle. In addition, the REGULAR size is also suitable for women who have given birth or have heavier menstrual cycles. If you are a teenager, have a more smaller build, have never been pregnant, or have lighter periods, the PETITE size (formerly TEEN size) is your best choice, providing your cervix meets the requirements for the REGULAR size.
- If you can insert your finger ONLY to the SECOND knuckle, the best choice for you is the LOW CERVIX FemmyCycle. NOTE: FemmyCycle cannot be used with a very low cervix, that is any lower than 2 knuckle lengths (or less than 2"), or with any degree of prolapse. If you can touch your cervix when inserting ONLY one knuckle, then you are advised NOT TO USE the FemmyCycle.
- It usually isn't advised for anyone with an inverted or tilted uterus to use Femmycycle since the main concern is leaking. An inverted or tilted uterus doesn’t allow for blood to flow directly into the menstrual cup; thus, leaking is likely to occur. However, there have still success stories from women with exact and similar situations. Therefore, this situation would require trial and error, or personal preference.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ FemmyCycle

*by M***E on April 7, 2016*

FemmyCycle was my second menstrual cup. I started with a Diva several years ago, and added LENA shortly after I received the Femmy. I have had about three cycles to try it out. I am 30yrs old, 5'2", average weight, have never been pregnant, and have mod-heavy flow. This cup is very different from most of the other cups out there, including my other two cups. Fully expanded, the Femmy holds twice the fluid of Diva and LENA cups; however, that is not an entirely fair comparison. Due to the design of the Femmy cup, it is more compressed once inserted, which decreases its holdings somewhat. Inserted, it can hold about 1.5 times the amount of my other cups, so it is still impressive. I could probably go about 12 hours on my heaviest days, but haven't tried going past 10 hours. Insertion is a bit more challenging with this cup due to its pliable nature of the bulb combined with its size and firm rim. The "C" fold is really the only one that works with this cup as its rim is quite firm/thick. Also, due to the size of the cup getting it inserted high enough is essential to comfort. Although it is more challenging, insertion is by no means unmanageable. I was able to get it inserted on the first try and wore it the rest of the day, it just took a few more maneuvers than usual at first. Once inserted to the appropriate position, the cup was very comfortable. This was somewhat surprising to me as the sheer size of the cup is a bit daunting. In addition to being comfortable, this cup has not leaked for me at all. I always wear a cloth pantyliner (*tangent-cloth pads are amazing!) with my cups to catch any little drip leaks. My Diva cup has always had an occasional drip even when not full, but this cup has not had any leaks at all. Removal is easy with the loop pull handle. In fact, of my three cups, this is by far the easiest to get out. However, I recommend stopping right before you fully remove and squeeze the bulb a bit to release suction or it "pops" and gives your coochie a bit of a zinger. It is not terrible, but definitely wakes you up a little. Clean up is easy with the top pulling out to create a pour spout and easy access to the interior of cup. Of note, the company recommends replacing this cup every year. I have not had it that long and use it in conjunction with other cups, but I have not seen any form of deterioration of the cup. It looks exactly like it did when it arrived, without any marks or discoloration.Experienced cup users, if you are looking for something a little different, this is definitely worth a try. New cup users, this cup may be a bit challenging for a first time cup, but may be worth a look if you have heavy flow or are very comfortable with your body. If you are new to cups, please know that any cup is going to take some practice with insertion and removal. They are not intuitive devices and it may take a some time with them before you are comfortable in public with changing them. You can't be timid with insertion or removal of any cup, and that is especially true of this one. Menstrual cups are great at offering you more freedom during your period while also being better for you and the environment. Seek out blog or video tutorials for guidance as needed. Own your period, don't be a hostage to it!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very impressed with this cup

*by B***S on October 16, 2014*

I am so excited about this cup, I had been using a Diva Cup and I was growing more and more unhappy with it with each use. The Diva Cup was too long for me, I couldn't get it in properly without having the stem sticking out some, and if I pushed it up further so the stem wasn't a problem, I'd end up having it leaking a lot and hardly anything in the cup. I know, I could have cut the stem some to make it somewhat more comfortable, but I would have had to cut pretty much the whole thing off, and the thickness of the silicone of the Diva cup made it less than ideal for comfort as well. This cup is a thinner silicone, it is VERY flexible. It doesn't have the small suction holes as many others do, that usually get gunk in them and look nasty unless you take something like a toothpick to clean them out. The top part folds down inside the cup to make it spill-proof, and its size makes it hard for me to imagine even my heavy flow causing this to leak on me as long as I'm changing it every 8-12 hours. I like the ring on the bottom that makes it easy to pull out, its much more comfortable than a stem. I honestly cannot feel this cup when it is in. I know every menstrual product boasts that you can't feel it, but honestly, this is the only thing I can use and actually not feel. The only things I've found to be negatives about this, which don't really bother me, are:-The flap at the top needs to be pulled out of the cup in order to empty it, but what I do is hold it from the bottom and push my thumb into the bottom of the cup until it pushes on the flap enough that it pops up. I've not had to stick my finger inside to pull it out once.-If you have used a menstrual cup before, this one is completely different. With other cups, you're supposed to have them expand inside to their original shape, which they can do because of those little suction holes. This cup doesn't have them, so it doesn't actually expand much inside, it feels sort of deflated and will make you worry, but I read up on these cups and knew that it didn't have to fully expand in order to work, and I haven't had any leaks either.-Mine makes a sound of suction being released when it is pulled out. I'm a stay at home mom, so having it make that sound in my bathroom is absolutely no big deal for me. If you think you will need to be emptying your cup in a public bathroom on a regular basis, it could be embarrassing. Since this is supposed to hold up to 12 hours of flow, it isn't too hard to work around that, unless you have excessively heavy flow.

### ⭐ Can be really great or SUPER HORRIFIC.

This cup was the best thing that had ever happened to me until it decided to suction itself to my cervix. The first month of using it was great, no leakage, couldn't feel it, removal was fine, etc. Then this month, it was fine the first day, then the second time I changed it that day I had some trouble removing it and it ended up hurting quite a bit from how much suction there was. I think this ended up either bruising or inflaming my cervix so that on subsequent days of use, it was wider and lower and got stuck/suctioned to the funnel even more than before. Skip to now, day 5 of my period, and I've changed it two or three times a day every day, and there's been increasing difficulty and pain with each change. At first I was confused because I kept adjusting and trying to make it not hurt, and have been easily able to break the outside suction, but no matter what I try, I have trouble breaking the inner suction. But a little pain was worth not having to think about it or worry about leaks so I persisted. But now, this last time I took it out, it hurt again, and once I had taken it out I could feel my cervix right behind my vaginal lips! It has NEVER EVER EVER been this low. I have had no children and have no history of any problems or prolapse or anything. This might work for people who don't have very mobile cervixes (mine is like a yoyo at different times of my cycle) or really high ones. But nothing else.I'm really sad because this is the only one that has ever worked for me in terms of comfort and not leaking at all, but it's not worth the pain or the risk of uterine prolapse. :C
