I have some experience with mask-making, paper mâché and the history of comedia del arte and I found this book to be a very worthwhile investment. Aside: Jonni Good seems to be a real animal lover. It gives you the basic instructions & a lot of neat ideas for mask making. Although, somehow the ones i have made by following the paper mache & gesso recipes, have turned out heavier than i had expected, to the point that i really should have added extra straps to hold them onto the head. I think for now, when i use these recipes, i will be making helmets instead of masks until i figure out how to make them lighter. This book made me so excited to get started that i never completely finished reading it.
