The case flap closes on magnets which keeps it closed nicely. The corners that the tablet snaps into place in the case is tight enough to keep it secure, but not too tight where it can scratch the corners if you take it out or put it in--it's just right. The only problem I have is how the flap can be folded to use as a stand. There's nothing to lock it in place--like velcro or something--so when you try to stand it up, it can easily slip out of place and fall flat on itself.
