worked fine once contacts were cleaned with 99% isoprophyl rubbing alchohol.This becomes necessary from time to time because of buildup of oxidation/dust etc.  Memory was properly detected once the memory was properly seated as well as properly seating the crimm modules.  Never use water to clean contacts

What a great and inexpensive way to to keep an old Dell working and productive just like it was new.  Just because the OS and other software keeps getting more and more bloated doesn't mean you always need to upgrade to a new machine.  Evaluate what is causing the slow-down and if it needs more RAM, then add it.  While this memory would have cost several hundred when the PC was new, the upgrade was less than an Andrew Jackson ($20) with no new software to buy or configuration of a new machine.  AMAMAX was great to work with.

Upgraded the RAM on an older computer.  Only had enough money to upgrade it to a total of 1GB memory.  Helped it out alot, though.  It actually takes a much shorter time to do anything on it now. Great value for the money!
