They make 3 different models of the sending unit. basically, one model has only temperature. This one has temperature and humidty. And it has 3 seperate channels to choose from. There is a cheaper new model station and they don't say the model number of the sending unit on that one. The reason is that one only has one channel, and I suspect it won't work if your station has a 3 channel switch. So if you need 3 channels, this is the correct one. It is a bummer that the weather eventually makes these go bad, even after hanging under the eave of the roof. It does have a one year warranty as stated on the instruction manual. Good to know since they eventually fail. I wrotye the purchase date on the box to remeber this. This DOES work with the lower voltage of rechargeable batteries. It is a good product, worth replacing as the complete weather stations are getting more spendy. I think they've updated software over time so that they are better able to handle multiple sensors. For example, I now have 5 sensors reporting through one bridge.
