Of course, if you’re just swapping a lock new for old, and the fit is correctly, then you can simply remove the old lock, measure the size you need (inside and outside measurements) and buy another with those measurements. Fortunately it was possible to remove that one without much hassle. Probably already written, but these are only secured into the door by a threaded screw which requires removing. Then rotate the lock barrel to a position, using the key, or remaining broken piece, where it will slide out in either direction. If this is measured correctly then the new lock assembly will fit perfectly. Again using a key to line it up. Secure with the screw provided. Also 3 keys included. I suspect this is not as secure as a British Standard 3 star lock but this one is not as expensive in comparison.
