- BEFORE ORDERING THIS 3-PACK, CHECK YOUR DOOR THICKNESS. Works on most hinged doors up to 1-3/8 inches thick (or up to 1-13/16 inches thick after removing GlideLok’s spacer bar). OK for interior and exterior doors, French doors, and doors with knobs, handles or large / oddly shaped levers. NOT compatible with any type of sliding door on a track, such as sliding glass, bifold or pocket doors. Also NOT compatible with patio screen doors, storm doors, double doors that swing in both directions, or metal door frames.
- MUST DRILL 1 SCREW (INCLUDED) INTO YOUR DOOR FRAME. The screw goes on the side of the door WITHOUT the hinges. For exterior doors, this is typically the exterior / outside part. (But the GlideLok can still operate from either side.) Before purchasing, ensure you can reach the top of your door to lock/unlock the GlideLok.
- SITS ON THE VERY TOP OF YOUR DOOR SO KIDS CANNOT GET TO IT. Unlike most door lever locks, door knob covers or other door locks for kids safety, the GlideLok rests on top of the door and overhangs each side the same way a saddle does. **Q: Has anyone tried making an extender for this? I can't reach the top of my doors as I'm only 5'.**
A: You can probably add a rod. There is hole in the slider and you should be able to attach a rod that is similar to one used for blinds.

**Q: My exterior doors are 1 3/4 inch thick. Do you have a product that will work on a door of the thickness?**
A: We only have one size of GlideLok, but you can make it work for a door that is 1 3/4 inch thick by removing the spacer bar on the GlideLok with a #1 drill bit or screwdriver. Please note that, for exterior doors, the GlideLok screw and peg will be installed on the EXTERIOR part of the door. It is always installed on the side of the door that does NOT have the hinges, because that is the part where the door frame is exposed at the top so you can install the screw. This will not affect the usability of the GlideLok because an adult can still slide it across from BOTH sides of the door. That is the biggest benefit of the GlideLok, so you will never get trapped in a room. Hope this helps!

**Q: Would this work with a bi-fold door?**
A: No, this product does not work on bi-fold doors.
