Sometimes , like in Philippines, and it is 100 degrees at a resort, I go in water with it so I dont get fried, it dries on me and cools. I wear mine loose.I am not one to brag but I wanted to give you every scenario I was in . I rinse them in hotel room, hang them in bathroom and it is dry by morning. Dryers get them out almost wrinkle free. I don't think mine has ever been ironed. I have 6 short sleeve and six long sleeve. Some I haveare 10+ years old and a bit soft but still wearable for daytime shirt. who cares if you are sweating your face and butt off **Q: Whats the little loop for?** A: I use the small black & white loop under the right front pocket to hang a small nail clipper or scissors to cut or trim fishing line. The Columbia vecro loop can be undone to hold your fishing rod while you change flies, lures or bail. Just like a third hand. The loop to the right of the upper left pocket I use for my sunglasses. But what's the deal with seen holes in the top and bottom of the pockets? **Q: Do the sizes run true?** A: Runs large. I usually wear large shirts, I got this in a medium because it looked a little bigger. Unfortunately my initial purchase of two shirts in size medium was a wasted purchase as this line of shirts is ridiculously oversized and not even close to my usual size of medium. It seems that the rule when ordering any Columbia shirts is to go a size below your normal. I reordered one size down (small size for me) and the fit is great while still retaining that loose well ventilated fit. These shirts wash up well and I haven't noticed any excessive wrinkling in the fabric that some customers have complained about. Some customers have complained about the difference in fabric to other lines of Columbia shirts but I haven't noticed any difference or difference in the level of comfort.
