**Q: L100 vs l80?
the l100 is almost 25% heavier than the l80. is it worth that for the extendable safety rail (the main difference between the two)?**
A: I’ve owned two Hailo ladders, a taller one for when I lived in a high ceilinged Victorian house and this one. The treads are nice and wide, but it is the extendable rail which makes all the difference in the safety of this ladder. I would not buy this ladder without the wonderful safety features built in to it. Don’t worry - they are definitely worth it. Really great ladder.

I chose this as it had wide steps, a tool tray and extending handle to provide security. I wasn't disappointed. It's feels very stable and secure, but also lightweight.

ladder and mini workstation in one. with support for your tools and handle for support this ladder makes doing jobs at height easy (with less need to get on/off). the wide steps are very strong and stop the foot fatigue you'd get otherwise. I use these even when not working at height as the top step and tool tray are so useful (especially if you have kids or not many surfaces)
