Do you have to buy the blade to cut paper** A: Mine came with a blade on the cutter plus 4 extra blades. **Q: Does this machine create a defined pinprick in the center of the circle being cut?** A: no. there is nothing that will damage the piece being cut. the cutter has a rubber gripper in the middle and the blade is rotated around on the end of the arm. you move the whole thing like turning a dial. it takes a little practice. **Q: Does this make or leave a mark or hole in the center of what you are cutting? I'm wanting to cut 2 1/4" circles that has my logo/artwork and no mark** A: Look at the 3rd photo on the main page, and you will see a white bottomed piece that can be screwed onto the point. You have a choice of using that so there will be no mark, or the pointed end. It cuts perfect circles in cardboard or paper. I also tried it with a 1mm piece of plexiglas. Although the cutting limit is .5mm, I scored the plexiglass and finished the rest with a razor knife. The other thing I like about it is that there is no pin in the center to hold the device in place which punctures the material like what you find on other circle cutters.
