It is indeed skin calming. It seems to be suitable for the whole body, even the face. Very little is needed for the face. It's really helping the dry skin on my lower legs, and it's great for the hands as well. I'm 80, so my skin is wrinkled pretty much all over, but this is really helping. Yes, it is fragrance-free. I once received a "blue cap" tube of Eucerin Skin Calming Daily Moisturizing Creme in a gift pack. It worked wonders after so many other products which couldn't defeat my dry skin. After I used up the "blue cap" Eucerin creme, I sought replacement with a like-for-like product but alas, the "red cap" version had replaced that item. Despite the gripes written extensively in these reviews, I think the "red cap" version is equal to that of the "blue cap". The ingredient list is exactly the same for both (by and large), but the "red cap" version adds a few more components that comprise the reformulation. To the point: I get enduring moisturizing that controls my dry skin, and it doesn't trigger allergic reactions like some others do to my overly sensitive skin. I regard this product highly. I rate it 5 stars.
