It is the best protein for post-bari surgery folks. Post-op I found that the traditional heavier whey proteins were sometimes a little much for me. This is light- not nearly as heavy on the stomach but still helps get in all of your daily protein allowance. I still drink it daily. I go to the gym at 5 am and I can't eat heavy early in the morning, so I have one of these mixed with my pre-workout supplement. Perfect for before going to the gym. I also keep some individual packets at work in my desk at work along with a shaker bottle and they are also really good for travel. If I'm on a plane, makes a great meal replacement that will keep you on track. It mixes very well in a blender bottle with cold water (no ice- it clumps on the ice). I have tried all of the clear flavors- Grape, Roadside Lemonade, Strawberry Kiwi, etc. I find all of them to be very palatable. No, it doesn't taste like CountryTime or Kool-Aid or Grape soda- because it's protein. You're not really drinking them for the flavor profile, are you? No, you are trying to get in your protein. A little after taste on some of them, but nothing horrible. If you want a change from the regular heavy whey protein powders, you must give these a try. I started with the chocolate drinks and it did not take long to know that the chocolate flavor will get old really fast.So I was quick to try lemon which is one of my favorite flavors. The Roadside Lemondade iss pretty good. Its not at thick as other protein drinks and doesnt have that same after tase. To jazz up my drink I added some True Lemon crystals (0 calories and 0 sugars) and some Truvia stevia to make it a bit sweeter. Given that protein and I are now joined at the hip, I will be making the lemonade my close companion. I also purchased the grape but didnt find it as pleasing. But I will work with it to see if we can find a happy medium. Most of the ones I have tried have been too sweet. I thought this might be less so than the others. The instructions say to mix 1/4 packet with 2-4oz of water, yet it takes a full packet to give you 23g of protein. I found I needed about 10oz of water for the whole packet for it to have sufficient flavor. It tastes like a creamy lemon drink. I would not say it tastes like a lemonade. It is drinkable, but not what I was hoping for. I think I will keep looking.The ingredients are Whey protein isolate, citric acid, natural and artificial flavors, soy lecithin, acesulfame-K, sucralose. gardenia fruit juice powder. There is 60mg of sodium and 160mg of potassium. It supplies 8% of the daily amount of calcium and phosphorus. There are 100 calories per packet. It also says there are 0 carbs and zero fat. It is also lactose and glutten free. The front of the package says there is no aspartame. Looks like it is manufactured in Missouri.
