I don't have that exact transmission. Have used in 6t70 and 6t45. **Q: will this work for a 1995 ford taurus?** A: Yes it will, the only ones it's not recommended for are CVT transmissions (mostly all new cars, including hybrids) and really old Ford products that used the old Ford spec fluid. It will work great in a 95 Taurus. **Q: This says an ounce per quart but also that it replaces ATF fluid so could you simply put the entire 10 oz bottle in?** A: No!!! This is an additive.... which supports and improves the condition and performance of existing ATF fluid. When it speaks of replacing... this is what it means...for example.. if your tranny fluid is low a half quart..... you can add an ounce of Lubegard for every quart of trans fluid your tranny can hold... up to that half quart you are low.... make sense? **Q: Does this work in 1998 f150** A: I can tell you that it has worked in a 2008 Toyota Sienna mini-van, no more funky, hesitant shifts. Quick and smooth now, dumped some in at about 145K, now there's 156K on it and it shifts great. Toyota has very strict requirements for ATF (their own), and I would think (don't know for sure) that it will be just fine for your Ford automatic transmission. You may want to go on to a Ford specific internet forum to see if somebody else has experience with your application, just to be sure. The transmission shop that recommended this stuff also told me to change out the throttle position sensor to also assist with shift hesitation and crispness. A must for most all FORD Truck transmissions *by C***E on July 3, 2025* 2013 F150 Crew 3.5 Ecoboost 270k miles - mmm orig engine and trans. Maintenance is key. 5k oil changes and transmission and coolant drain and fill every 25k miles and these trucks last forever! Having used the red bottle on corvettes and older 5.4/6.2 F250/F350s i know this is a quality product, the Platinum is NOT available anywhere locally - in fact i didnt know it existed until YouTube. Several 09-14 F150 6 speed trans owners report remarkable results w the 6 speed shift smoothness after use. I had the 19mm plug pulled out of the upper pan mount and noted perfectly appearing fluid no discoloration or burnt smell. Added Platinum solely as a future preventative measure prior to a 1300 mile trip. Figured if it does do anything for an otherwise normal transmission ill surely find out after driving 1300 miles. Results: i noticed after about 400 miles of 80+ mph driving that shifting, while computer controlled, seemed a bit firmer and significantly faster. Prior to the addition of this product i also reset the transmission learned adaptations as well as all saved shift modes and all learned modes and driving styles. That makes an immediate and noticeable difference in shift points and especially torque converter lockup points and changes tow/haul mode behavior. Again YMMV and while i do notice a very mild but good improvement in a 260k++ mile transmission, since using this ive had a couple "hiccups" with 1-2 shifts that are concerning. One occasion in a parking lot at low speed the 1-2 shift was so harsh i thought something in the rear axle broke. It also did that once on a low speed turn a few days prior.It did not throw a code though and i do have the lead frame recall transmission -.recall has been done 8 years ago. Nothing but 25k fluid/filtet changes since.
