But yesterday in a torrential rain, my shoes got soaked right through the booties. Added to that in the heavy rain there was not enough traction and I had a terrible fall- I slipped (maybe hydroplaned in all the water on the street) and damaged my shoulder and now need an orthopedist.Maybe my shoe covers had microscopic leaks that I didn't see, but they definitely failed in a heavy rain.UPDATE: the company was very responsive and offered a refund. These booties are wonderful for a light rain and on paved street or dirt surfaces, but they said they would make clear in their packaging that these are not meant for heavy water or very smooth surfaces like tile or wood because they are silicone and could slip.. As long as you know when and where to wear them they are wonderful, but be careful on smooth surfaces. ### ⭐ Don’t do it! *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on July 15, 2019* If you value your life...DO NOT BUY THESE. I had a medium on an adult size 8 shoe. Yeah it was a tight fit... maybe a Large would have been a better choice.
