I also like the feel of the fabric under dresses of polyester, rayon, etc …. does not "cling", which is what I was searching for. It would not be comfortable under cotton. My problem is the fact that once it was washed - by hand in cold water - it does not "hang" straight. The slip is similar to cheap t-shirts, once washed, the side seams are crooked. No amount of laying it flat to dry and attempting to line up the side seams corrects it. I more or less anticipated the crooked result once washed because of the type of fabric. For me, I don't mind it being snug and it is stretchy and still comfy. It is see- through though, because of it being so snug, so if you don't want that, you need to order up a couple of sizes.
