It is going to vary. **Q: can the barb be removed and if so what is the thread underneath?** A: The Barb is Press-fit in tightly - You may be able to heat it up and pull it out and Tap the Bore with a small Tap but that may damage the device for trying if your not careful and use the correct size Tap for the Bore Hole which I cant tell you what that might be so.....
