It is also very easy to assemble and install. I used 5/16" x 4" structural washer head screws in order to mount the steel vertical brackets to the framing studs. The holes in the steel mounting brackets, and the round plastic spacers, needed to be drilled out 1/16" larger in order to to accommodate the 5/16" screws, since the holes are only 1/4", but the larger screws worked great for more structural support. It took about 30 minutes total to assemble and install the wood rack. The instructions recommend 1/4" x 3" lag screws, but I wanted something a little stronger, so I used larger screws. By the time the mounting screws go through the 1" vertical steel bar, the 5/8" plastic spacer and 1/2 " to 3/4" sheetrock, they are going to need some real length in order to sink far enough into a 1-1/2" Γ— 3-1/2" framing stud. I mounted the vertical brackets 5 feet apart, so they hold 6 foot and 8 foot long lumber perfectly. Any shorter lumber can just be placed on top of the longer lumber. The weakest point of the wood rack seems to be the little sheet metal screws that hold the horizontal shelf brackets in place, but so far they are holding well. If you have some lumber that you need to get up off of the floor and organized, then I highly recommend this sturdy wood rack. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great wood racks, but... *by J***K on June 7, 2020* I bought 2 of these wood racks to store extra material from projects I'm working on before cutting it down to size. They were easy to put together and are very sturdy. My only complaint is that they do not include the mounting hardware. Thankfully other reviewers pointed this out as well so I ran to the hardware store and picked up some 1/4" lag screws 3 1/2" in length as well as some washers. After drilling the pilot holes it was really easy to install them with a ratchet and the lag screws. If you're getting the 4 level/shelf mount you'll need 4 lag screws for each set (I needed 8 since I bought 2 racks) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worthy Solution *by T***R on June 8, 2021* Since I have only a single car garage for my shop, I got the smaller size. Pretty easy to install; as other reviewers have said, make sure you get some 3 1/2 to 4 inch lag bolts (not included) for the mounting. Some folks didn't like this, but I generally prefer to choose my own bolts or screws anyway. Just fussy I guess.Feels very strong once installed. Be mindful of the listed weight tolerances and you should be fine.Once I had this set up, and had stocked it with all my wood, I really could have kicked myself for waiting so long to implement something like this.
