Review: Sturdy and much larger than expected! - This is a great climber and much larger than I imagined! I didn't think that it would be as big as it is. 5' tall in the center is just enough to slightly scare my 6 year old, but my 9 year old loves it! I put it together in a little over 2 hours, by myself. I did have a little help from the kids, holding things up and what not. To some of the questions: Is it sturdy? I'm a 6ft 200lb adult and I can climb on it without it flexing a bit. It doesn't move that much either and I don't have it staked down. Does it get hot? Heck yes it does! I assembled this in the bright, noon sun (in the southern 92 degree heat). All the pieces were too hot to hold for longer than a few seconds. However, the kids still climbed on it when I got done. But it will get pretty hot. The plastic grips don't seem to get as hot as the metal poles. It is pretty difficult to put together by yourself, because of the angles that it needs to be held, in order to assemble completely. Also, it took me a few minutes to figure out exactly how to get the sections to fit together, but after that, it was easy. I didn't use the included Allen wrench, but instead used my drill with a bit. I also used a deep socket for the nuts. Overall, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has kids who love to climb. Even though it says "children ages 6-10," I can see my kids using it until they are around 12.
Review: The kids, and Dad, love it - The outer box arrived beat to death, but that's not for a PRODUCT rating (unlike what so many reviewers seem to think these days.) Five stars for ease of set-up and utility the kids are getting out of it. From the start, the instructions are pretty simple to follow; toward the in it gets a bit more difficult to see what the picture is trying to imply - but the color picture on the box helps out as well. Now, even on colder wet days the kids are heading out to play in, around and on the "spider web," as they call it. Some days they use the hand-holds and rubber bands to attach sheets and make it a place for a picnic, other days they get out there and climb around and get some exercise. The product is very sturdy and the powder coating is pretty good. This could last quite a few years. Time will tell if the kids will still love it, but I can tell you this much, I haven't seen one of these in any of our neighborhood yards; nor at our two nearby neighborhood playgrounds. It makes for a nice "change of pace" for the local friends, boys or girls. So nice to see them using their imaginations OUTSIDE again. Dad has also found that the V-shaped bars make for a really sturdy Chin-up (L-sit if you are tall) and Dip station for outdoor exercise. The top horizontal bars are also wide enough for regular pull-ups (hands pronated), but don't kip because you might hit your head. If you cannot do chins and dips yet, the first level bars are good for easy angled push-ups and horizontal rows. If your legs can handle it, or you wrap a towel or short swimming noodle around a top horizontal bar, you could hang upside down from it and hit some abs. Or hang inside and do knee-ups after your chin-ups. Throw in a $10 speed rope or other calisthenics next to it for more cardio in the circuit and you can have a quick, intense workout! One could also use it for flexibility training if they were so inclined. The only drawback is also a plus - for mowing, it is pretty large and takes up quite a bit of the yard. It is not too heavy to move with two young adults. However, it is nice to have one large enough for our family of 4 to all fit on or under it depending on the use at the time. The lowest horizontal bar level may be a bit too high for shorter 5 year olds.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this attach to the ground in anyway? We live in the Midwest and are prone to strong winds known to lift trampolines, etc.**
A: No, it does not attach to the ground, but it could be done with locking carabiners and swing set anchors. That being said, we live in Iowa and get strong winds and blustery gusts nearly every day and this thing does not even shake. That's because a dome is one of the most architecturally stable designs there is. While we anchored our swing set down, we did nothing to secure the dome because, once built, it becomes readily apparent that the thing is not going anywhere. You must, of course, erect it on level ground, though! I would say the most important safety precaution to take would be to put in the proper ground substrate. This is, in fact, strongly recommended in the owner's manual, whereas anchors were not. The same was not true for the swing set, where the owner's manual strongly cautioned to use BOTH ground fill AND anchors.

**Q: Is the radius really 10 feet (so the DIAMETER is 20 feet), or is the DIAMETER 10 feet?**
A: No it's 10 feet

**Q: We live a block from the beach. Does anyone own this and live that close to the beach? How is the rust?**
A: We live in Florida, which is very humid (though not so close to the beach to be affected by salt water). It started rusting in the spots that were hit with the weed wacker within a year. We have had it two years now and there is rusty spots throughout, mostly around the knobs/ connectors/ screws - but nothing that would affect its use at this point. With how the rust has progressed, I would give it at least 2 more years of use in our current climate/ conditions. So 4 - 5 years at least of use out of this if you do nothing to stop the rust from progressing in the wet weather.

**Q: Is the dome too big for a tall 3 year old? I'm seeing mixed reviews. Some say it's great, some say they can't climb the first level. Thoughts?**
A: We just got this and our 3.5 year old loves it, but he’s not big enough to climb it alone. We put him in the first level and he likes to climb sideways around it. He also like monkey swing inside it. I’m 6’5” and my son is over the 100 percentile in height, so I doubt many 3 year old could use this without a boost and close monitoring. I think 4-5 would be better, but I’m happy we got it anyway. He’ll do what he can and maybe advance faster because of the challenge it presents. We’re going to add a disc swing in the middle to give him more uses for now.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Child approved
*by S***H on June 4, 2022*

We’ve had ours for over 1 year, so far. We live in northern Michigan, in an area by the Great Lake. It’s been out in the snow and rain, showing no problems thus far. Reminds me of my childhood at school or a park, it is super “fancy” for home life (from my point of view, not growing up with such “luxury”) ; saying it’s good-quality indeed! I saw a farm that has a little petting zoo and they too have the EXACT same dome! It’s been out there for over a year, maybe even longer, and still sturdy as new. Of course, always more fun to play on with others. But the dream for ANY child! My literally-born-Deaf husband put it together ALL ALONE, by himself. I didn’t ask him how it was, but he did it. It is worth the money, instead of buying many little things that break or end up lost somewhere, this is worth saving for and investing. My 5 year old has some weak body situations, was in occupational therapy, so this has been a good tool to help strengthen and learn his body. Just use a broom of spiders make their web up naturally, no biggie. One therapist has one for her kids and in the winter they put a tarp over it leaving one section open for like a make believe play “house”.
