**Q: what are the dimension of this item?**
A: OD = 9.5 x 9.5, inside dimension that fit inside the recessed light is only 7" x 7"

**Q: how does this trim attach to the housing?**
A: there are two crossed arms on two sides of the trim that slip into slots in the housing, you squeeze them together  to remove,  and also to put back into the housing

**Q: Is it only the frame and glass**
A: Yes

**Q: Is the glass frosted, or clear.  If frosted, does it restrict light more or less than the old ones you are replacing? (those old 70-90's ones)**
A: It's frosted but not nearly as much as the old ones in our house. You can sort of see the shape of the lightbulb behind the glass in this one. So for us, it lets out more light.

My 35 years old 8” square outdoor light fixture trim is rusty and needs to be replaced. I have been looking for replacement for about 2 years until I found this product. It is an exact fit and looks good after it is installed. However, it is expensive as a trim. Hope it will last 30 years.
