This release combines two studio albums from the late Willy DeVille, Crow Jane Alley from 2004 and Pistola from 2008. From his breakthrough with Mink DeVille and their smash hit Spanish Stroll in 1977, Willy DeVille produced a masterful body of work featuring his unique blend of rock, soul, R&B, blues and Cajun with articulate lyrics and Willy's distinctive vocal style. These were the last two studio albums before Willy's death from cancer at the age of just 58 in 2009. These are two great albums worthy of inclusion in any fan's collection.

I don't know how I missed this one when it was first released. I've been a fan of Willy Deville since the early Mink Deville days, and tried to keep up with his released over the years. Anyway, I absolutely loved this album. Great songs, including the Roxy Music cover, plus the always superb vocals. If you are a fan, this is one that you need!

I was only vaguely familiar with Willy DeVille but had heard some things that I liked. I bought this MP3 on spec based on a very positive review I had read. I was not misled. This is a terrific collection of tunes. Now all I have to do is figure out which DeVille offering I'll be buying next...and I will definitely be buying another one.

Liked the guy since I heard River of Tears, and Demasiado Corazón. Bought this double CD for the memories. Apparently it might take several listens, but he is cool. 4 Stars.
