One side of my counter is not flush with my stove, it is lower. The other side is relatively flush. I found that this worked for me for both sides. It was flexible enough that I was able to put it in the gap between the counter and the stove and molded to that position as it was flexible enough. The other side that was relatively flush worked as expected. All in all, I am quite happy with this purchase. As previously stated, the only issue is the color.
