Wasnt sure if i wanted this or a choate, but im pleased with the purchase. Not quite as solid as the stock that came on my hawk 982, but the OEM stock was considerably heavier and don't plan on butt stroking anyone. That being said, the speedfeed feels solid and i wouldn't worry about it breaking. It was the first time removing a stock from a shotgun and took me approximately 30 minutes to take off the Remington Stock and add this new Speedfeed IV. The shortened stock with the pistol grip fits great and is the perfect length. The texturing on the grip is well done. The butt pad is easy to install - a little pressure through the rubber and then the rubber pretty much closes over the top. I'm not too sure why others complained about the butt pad not having holee, as it even says to just apply pressure in the directions. Im 5'10" and the length of pull is good when wearing body armor. I didn't give it 5 stars because the butt pad does not have predrilled holes for the screws to attach it to the stock, it apparently has small slits to insert the screws through, I couldn't find them and just sent the screws through the pad into the stock. It looks fine and functions fine, but predrilled holes would have been nice. It fits perfectly with my Remington 870 tactical express, I added a gg&g single point sling adapter between the trigger guard and the stock and it still attaches fine. The finish isn't bad, I may add a hogue grip after I fire it a few hundred times if my hand starts to tire but as of now I don't plan on it.
