However this book will help you have better and a deeper understanding as to why black love is slowly dying. I am not saying that black should be with there own. Love see no color or happiness. Umoja didn't just address the current issue that is at hand, he went all the way back to slavery and the psychological effects that it has cause the African American culture as a whole. There was no "sugar coating" the issue. This Author was straight up about it and the long term issues that will conutine to happen if there is no intervention or a plan to put one in place. I believe that this book along with others should be put on the African American Studies and Human Behavior book lists to further improve the education of all that are interested in why Black Americans do what they do and say what they say. Because they feel they have a right to. They do to a point, however moving forward is the best intervention to solve most if not all these problems, issues, or situations.
