The material quality has a nice rubbery finish and weighs in at 420 grams (I couldnt find this info anywhere prior to actually getting the case). The fit on the bottom piece is perfectly flush with the shape of my Mac, but on the top piece it bulges slightly outward. This case does provide better grip than the original MBP rubber feet and doesn't seem to make my Macbook run hotter. Overall I really like the case for my purpose which is protecting my MBP in a backpack instead of sticking it in a sleeve to avoid scratches. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of the better cases out there... *by J***N on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on January 16, 2012* I think this is one of the better cases out there for a couple of reasons:1) It has a very snug fit. The only place where I see a deviation from form-fitting is the back of the screen - it isn't quite flush (i.e. you can press on the case and there is ~2mm of play between the case and the aluminum screen back). Other than that, the clips are non-descript, and the whole thing is, in a word: sleek.2) Great feel. It certainly provides a better grip than the aluminum body but isn't sticky. It's a genuine matte finish that doesn't smudge (unlike many of the so-called matte finish cases, which get fingerprint marks all over them). It's not merely a matte-coating. The material itself is black, soft, and matte.3) Ventilation. By virtue of the very design this is the best ventilated hard-case available, without a doubt.4) Full range of motion. There is absolutely no loss in range of motion that the screen can be tilted to. Also, it's not heavy at all and certainly won't cause your screen to "creep" in any direction due to the added weight.Granted, I have only had the product for about a week, but so far this is my analysis and I am a VERY critical person. Anyone who says that this case doesn't fit well probably didn't take the 30 seconds it takes to look at the pictorial instructions and put it on correctly.Also I read in previous reviews that the center of the screen back (the part that your thumb pulls on when you are opening your computer) is loose or moves a lot when you open the computer. This has not been my experience (it remains completely flush with the aluminum casing) and I suspect that those individuals either didn't correctly install the case or possibly had an older generation case that had a manufacturing error.
