They're hard to grasp and use with accuracy.I use the flat end to push back cuticles, and the round end to clean under my nails. The sticks are smooth and splinter-free. I've always used orange wood sticks in the past, but these are just as good. I'd five star them if the flat end was cut with a finer edge, but that's a minor criticism. A finer edge lacks sturdiness. This is just a personal preference.
