Construction began in 1938 and was completed in 1941. Service began in 1942. "Musashi" together with the twin ship"Yamato" were the largest and heaviest battleships in history. On October 24, 1944, it was sunk by American planes during the Battle of Leyte. Its total length is 262. 7 meters, width 36. 9 meters and draft 9. 8 meters. It reached a top speed of 27 knots (50 km/h). Almost 2, 400 people served on the ship. The Battleship Musashi along with its twin Yamato, are the largest models of construction blocks issued in the history of COBI.
