From that point it was smooth sailing, mostly. The new part was not 100.0% the right size, more like 99.9%, so a little wiggling was needed, but it's clearly made for this phone.After reassembly everything worked except for the inductive charging, which was caused by me not reassembling the phone fully. Squeezing the middle of the phone's back toward the screen (still with the phone fully assembled) snapped that connector back into place and inductive charging works again.100% satisfied with this part. Now I can keep using my phone, and the problem is solved. Thanks! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fast shipping and working perfectly but not a genuine OEM part for D820 *by J***. on Reviewed in the United States on October 22, 2015* This part is not an exact match for the D820. If you look closely at the part pictured and the part that is removed in the following video: https://youtu.be/qqCEXEmcj4Y?t=5m50s you will notice they're not identical. This part has an additional tab (bottom middle, in gold) which interferes with one of the speakers. I ended up tucking this tab up and over and with a bit of patience and luck I was able to get the speaker plate back on.The phone works so I am satisfied but to advertise this part as a genuine OEM for D820 is not correct. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Anytime a Nexus 5 misbehaves, changing the flex cable will usually save the day! *by E***D on Reviewed in the United States on April 20, 2019* I have maintained 4 Nexus 5 phones for several years, and every strange behavior problem always seems to result from a damaged flex cable. When my first Nexus 5 started flaking out, the screen would go into a pattern that looks just like static on old analog TV sets. I mistook that for a processor related problem and unnecessarily reflashed the phone. Had I just changed the flex cable, I would have saved myself all kinds of grief. Recently, my phone started shaking so I mistakenly suspected the digitizer when again it was the flex cable.Since the flex cables are so inexpensive, I bought extras.
