The spectrophotometer utilizes solvent extraction and NDIR (non-dispersive infrared sensor) analysis measurement principles. It has an automatic mode to ease testing and a manual mode that allows operators to customize testing requirements. The extraction tank is backlit to facilitate viewing that allows accurate extraction times to be set. The built-in extractor extracts substances from sample water and solvent using infrared absorption of 3.4 to 3.5Ξm. It uses S-316 extraction solvent (sold separately) and has sample water-to-solvent ratio of 2:1. Test results can be expressed as mg/L, mg/kg, mg/g, and mg/PC.
